There are certain Dos & Don’ts to follow while purchasing, bursting and storing crackers. A little negligence, ignorance and carelessness can cause a fatal injury.
Display fireworks as per the warnings and instructions mentioned on the pack.
Use fireworks only outdoors.
Buy fireworks from authorized/reputed manufacturers only.
Light only one firework at a time, by one person. Others should watch from a safe distance.
Always follow the safety tips marked on the fireworks.
Use an agarbatti to ignite the fireworks.
Store fireworks in a cool and dry place.
Always have adult supervision.
Keep two buckets of water handy in the event of fire or any mishap.
Never make your own fireworks.
Never try to re-light or pick up fireworks that have not ignited fully.
Never carry fireworks in your pockets.
Never shoot fireworks in metal or glass containers.
Never point or throw fireworks at another person.
Do not wear loose clothing while using fireworks.
After the fireworks display never pick up leftover fireworks; they may still be active.
Don’t store crackers near burning candles or lamps.
Alcohol causes delayed body responses and crackers might burst early.
